Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is the medical use of oxygen in a pressurized environment, at a level higher than 1 atmosphere absolute (ATA). The increased pressure allows oxygen to dissolve in the blood plasma and saturate it (independently of hemoglobin/red cells), which can have a wide range of positive physiological, biochemical, and cellular effects. This noninvasive therapy is the most trusted way to increase oxygen levels to all organs of the body. The treatment typically lasts 60-90 minutes. During this time, the patient lies down and continues to breathe normally.

HBOT has been demonstrated in several clinical studies to enhance the body’s innate ability to repair and regenerate. It can be used to enhance and complement the healing process for both acute and chronic conditions.
